French Tongue twisters
"Il était une fois, un homme de foi qui vendait du foie dans la ville de Foix. Il dit ma foi, c'est la dernière fois que je vends du foie dans la ville de Foix."
(Foix est une ville dans le Pyrénées.)
Translation: Once upon a time, there was a man of faith who was selling liver in the town of Foix. He said, my faith (my God) it is the last time I am selling liver in the town of Foix.
"Trois petites truites non cuites
trois petites truites crues."
Translation: Three uncooked little trouts, three raw little trouts.
"Tu t'entêtes à tout tenter, tu t'uses et tu te tues à tant t'entêter. "
Translation: You persist in trying everything, you wear and work yourself out to death with such persistance.
"Trois tortues trottaient sur un trottoir très étroit. "
Translation: Three turtles are trotting down a narrow sidewalk.
"Les vers verts levèrent le verre vert vers le ver vert. "
Translation: The green worms raised the green glass towards the green worm.
"Si six cent scies scient six cent saucisses,
six cent six scies scieront six cent six saucissons."
Translation: If six hundred saws saw six hundred sausages,
six hundred and six saws will saw six hundred and six sausages.
